Anant Kumar, CEO

Anant launched the first LifeSpring Hospital in December 2005 incubated by HLL Lifecare Ltd. Given the success of the pilot model of low cost, high quality maternity hospitals, for low income women LifeSpring Hospitals launched as a separate private company with equity participation from HLL Lifecare Ltd. and Acumen Fund in February 2008. Today LifeSpring Hospitals network has grown to become the largest private maternity hospital network in India and aspires to become one of the largest in the world. Low-income women want and deserve safe, affordable maternal care and by leading LifeSpring Hospitals, Anant has achieved to put dignity at the centre of this endeavour.

Before LifeSpring, Anant has worked extensively in areas of social & rural marketing, social franchising, supply chain management, behavioural change communication, & Knowledge Management. Anant is a management graduate from IRMA, Anand and has diploma in Health Care and Hospital Management from Symbiosis Institute, Pune and certification in social entrepreneurship from INSEAD, Singapore. For his work, he has also be recognised as TED India fellow. An avid quizzer, and a road travel enthusiast, Anant lives in Hyderabad with his wife and son.

Dr. Chandan Kumar , Manager Clinical Quality Assurance

Dr. Chandan has 6 years of Clinical experience across different departments, though he has worked mainly in Emergency Medicine. Prior to joining LifeSpring, he was working as an In-charge Casualty Medical Officer in a private hospital. He graduated from the NTR University of Health Sciences and has a Post Graduate degree from Sikkim Manipal University in Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Chandan is also a certified Instructor in Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, from the American Heart Association. He has given multiple trainings at both government and private medical colleges. At LifeSpring, his role is to maintain clinical quality, conduct clinical data analysis and reporting , conduct clinical process audits, implement clinical protocols & guidelines , and organize clinical staff trainings and Doctors meetings along with the Head of the department.

Jaikrishnan A.R., Company Secretary

Jaikrishnan A.R. has over nine years of experience as Company Secretary for various organizations, stemming from LifeSpring Hospitals to HLL Lifecare Limited. In this role, he has assisted in the formation of LifeSpring as a joint venture company, facilitates Board meetings and Committees, and liaises with external regulators and advisors, such as auditors and lawyers. Mr. Jaikrishnan is trained in ISO 9001:2000 as an internal auditor, and ensures compliance with statutory matters both in letter and in spirit. He has an MBA from the University of Kerala; an ACS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi; and a B.Sc from the University of Kerala.

Dr. Rama Devi P., Head Clinical Quality

Dr. P. Rama Devi was born and raised in Hyderabad, AP. She received her MBBS, PG from Osmania Medical College. Prior to joining LifeSpring, Dr. Rama Devi worked as a full time consultant in a private hospital in the OB-GY specialty in maternity care. She was one of LifeSpring's first doctors, having joined in December 2005. Dr. Rama Devi has a passion for social service, providing high quality health services to low-income people. Her hobbies are listening to old melodies and shopping. She is married to a caring and loving husband and has two cute and naughty boys.

K. Shiva Shankar, Manager-IT

A Commerce graduate from Osmania University, Shiva is an expert in hardware and networking. He has extensive experience in Management Information Systems in both Corporate and Government agencies. He started his carrier as a Commercial Supervisor with ITC Agro Tech, and then joined the United Nations Development Programme as a Program Associate. He continued with it in its latter form, DRDA-IKP (Velugu), as MIS In-Charge for almost 6 years before moving to an E-Governance Project at Comat Technology, Bangalore, where he worked as Manager -Information Systems for 2 years. Shiva has also worked as the District Coordinator with a Health Management & Research Institute-HMRI for one year. Before joining LifeSpring, Shiva was the Head-MIS & IT with Nano Financial Services India Private Limited for two years. Shiva joined LifeSpring in February 2011, where he heads the IT department.

Dr. Sridhar Muni, Head Operations

Dr. Sridhar Muni heads day-to-day hospital operations management.  In this role, he manages all aspects of Hospital Administration, working closely with the administrators and assistant administrators across all LifeSpring hospitals.  Prior to LifeSpring, Dr. Muni worked as a Senior Manager of Administration at Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai, reporting directly to the CEO.  Dr. Muni has a Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA), a Certificate in Health Finance and Management, and a Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

Subba Rao T., Manager Accounts

T. Subba Rao has over ten years of experience in the fields of Accounts, Finance, Budgeting, Taxation functions, and Statutory / Internal audits. Mr. Subba Rao has extensive experience in accounting in a range of industries, including health care, infrastructure, and consulting. He received his B.Com from Nagarjuna University and his I.C.W.A. from Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India, where he graduated in commerce.

Venkateswara Rao P, Deputy Manager Finance

Venkateswara Rao has over 14 years of experience in the fields of Accounts, Finance, Budgeting, MIS and Banking. He has been a member of LifeSpring’s team since October 2008. Before joining LifeSpring, Venkateswara Rao worked in one of the Units of the Care Group of Hospitals, as an Assistant Manager of Finance and Accounts. There, he was responsible for the entire Finance and Accounts Division. Prior to Care Hospitals, he served at Kalyan Cooperative Bank, Hyderabad for 6 years. Venkateswara Rao graduated with a degree in Commerce from Andhra University in 1995.
In his leisure time, he enjoys playing with his daughter and participating in Anna Dan programs at Temples.

Vijaybhasker Srinivas, Head Process Control

Vijaybhasker holds a post-graduate diploma in Rural Management (equivalent to an MBA) from the Institute of Rural Management and a Bachelor’s degree in law. He has over 15 years of experience in rural development, particularly in the fields of livelihood promotion using SHGs, and monitoring and evaluation. His experience spans several parts of India and various vulnerable communities. An accomplished trainer, he has been a resource person for training over 3,000 individuals. He is experienced in designing management systems, describing/ detailing processes and monitoring processes.
